I am working toward the Ph.D Degree. My research interest is dynamic modeling and optimization in power system. Having experience with projects related to renewable energy and power system. For example wind-farm design, micro-grid solar system design.
My current focus is on the impacts of renewable energy on the power system and power load prediction.

Meteorological and Geological factors in Polynomial Dynamic Power Load Prediction
Analysis the power load profile between Portland & San Diego. Combining with the Geological and Meteorological data, figuring out what the power load would behave within one year period.

Yiwen Gu received B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, May 2021. Currently pursuing Ph.D degree in University of Wisconsin-Madison in Power System. Yiwen's research interest is dynamic modeling and optimization in power system.
